Proton Waja converted to Mitsubishi Evolution 10

Proton WAJA owners to their cars to a Mitsubishi Evolution. He leaves in May on the importance of control over the owners themselves and, in fact, it's their car and their freedom to do so. Here we offer an introduction to the Proton WAJA species, such as after conversion to Mitsubishi Evolution 10, but still the basic Campro engine 1.6. The body changed from Rozar team.

Total effort is made to the Proton WAJA to do almost as well as Mitsubishi Evolution 10th

waja_evox1

waja_evox

We have seen this kind of body is in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, and a few days ago. Some WAJA owner 18 inch rim evolving body, spoiler, big exzos its hilarious system, Brembo front and rear disc brakes. But it is certainly surprising to see how Malaysia Design body kit, creativity shown in Proton owners. Tell us what you think.

Proton Waja CPS 1.6

The Proton WAJA CPS 1.6 is not fully a new model that begins with a series of facelift. It's still about the same car with a new engine and a few new features compared to earlier versions.

The newspaper writes about cars like this, a few months after his appearance on the showroom details in the car from factory figures. We finally have our hands on one recently.

Read our reports WAJA CPS after the jump.

Proton Waja CPS
We are delighted with the Mitsubishi 4G18 powered the first round of Waja followed by S4PH Campro engine which WAJA in the 2006th Well, the latest reincarnation of the WAJA, we are new Campro CPS engine 1.6.

At first glance, the car is always the same on the outside, but the first album was promising. The study came to a manual gearbox units, although we expect an automatic version - let's face it, are ideal, given the traffic situation in the cities, but the car lived up to expectations.

With the CPS system now with Campro engine, we decided to try the WAJA CPS, if the new engine performance figures really. The car was in Senawang - Tampin - Segamat road, offers a joking spirit. Many curves and straights, so some sprints.

The main differences in the CPS are smooth driving and react with the 13 percent increase performance. The CPS is a totally different engine compared to the Campro S4PH, it is aggressive, when you need it. The CPS engine to 125hp at 6500 rpm and 150nm torque at 4500 rpm. Although the torque peaks at 150nm at 4500 rpm, there is plenty of torque available throughout the group.

Proton Waja CPS

The previous Campro is low at low speeds and the engine of the rule, the U-Engine to swing higher. Sometimes you have to 3rd Gear in a manual Campro only a slow vehicle in front.

Not the CPS - it went without any effort on the fourth speed. The SPC is a particular pleasure to work with better acceleration, the third, fourth and fifth in the engine 2500 - 4500 rpm engine speed. There is no downside driving easier coasts. This shows that the Proton engineers have an enormous amount of work to improve the engine.

Another interesting fact that we noticed the engine speed to a cruising speed. The CPS allows the engine at 2000 rpm with a cruise speed of 80 km / h at around 3000 rpm at 110 km / h. It's like a cruising speed of most cars 2.0 liters, with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. Smaller engines tend 2700rpm to cruise around 80 km / h Low engine is beneficial because it improves fuel economy
and convenience.

With a complaint that we have the CPS engine. It works like the way you are using a modern 1.6 liter engine, but sometimes the engine lost power, what seems to be random events, at first, but ultimately we decided that the wheels are significantly reduced, far, more than one type of vehicle each time the air conditioning compressor kick in. I'm not sure what kind of air conditioning Campro with all these uses, or perhaps it is wiring problem or a compressor inside, but we noticed it on all Campro / Campro IAFM and Campro CPS cars that we have.

Proton to start sales push

2009 Proton Satria Neo
Proton has undergone a major change and is aiming to triple its Australian sales within the next two years.
The manufacturer of the cars in Malaysia is now on the education and revival of the pricing policy, a new model, as well as entry-level price variations of existing lines into the Australian market.

The company, the introduction of what it claims in Australia is the cheapest sedan, which is now happening in October this year instead of early next year. Through a sub-$ 13,000 price tag

Proton Cars Australia managing director John startar, says the car following process is at the beginning, and he will not delay the development of new products. "We offer a four-door, where many three-door - say, the buyer, if they are more for less, perhaps to a limousine, when the price is correct."

"At first, we get the manual version 1.6, early next year, we have other variations in automatic and manual, with 1.3-liter engine - engine Campro to 1.6.

Startar said the new entry-level model for the Satria Neo, Gen2 and personality will be here shortly before the end of the year, to a large part of the strategy to increase sales.

"Our goal to triple our turnover within two years, after a sharp increase in the areas of marketing, the introduction of a range of prices - we see volume growth in the bottom," he says.

Brand and the network have two major problems score - a startar aims, under the new plan. "Our dealer network has significant changes, we parted company with 17 of the 41 dealers with respect to each other, we went to them with our infrastructure is needed, if necessary, an investment of their hands, which don 't want to be committed to his work .

"We have recruited seven new distributors in the last two months we have accelerated, because the car is faster arrival - we will be 50 dealers by the end of 2011 the national level.

"We parted with almost half of our network, we are ... things must change, and the last 18 months has been dramatic changes, I am not saying that this is the last throw, but things needed to change". Startar said the review was in error in his direct customer approach and needs to make its point of view of consumers.

"We face a problem of conscience, we must sell 4000-5000 year, we have sought and found, for whatever reason - not outside the normal - to the end of the day, he came back to consciousness - people ... if they do not know us, they fear, because there are other brands more visible, he said.

Proton has recruited a number of new dealers, and they said they were also other brands with low prices, but do not want the risks associated with labels that do not have a record in Australia. "With a number of Chinese brands on the market, as well as Japanese and Korean brands increasingly small number of vehicles, Proton sees its strength in its 15-year presence in the market.

Startar said that the Australian arm of the four-year action plan has the support of the factory. "The system knows that it will be difficult, initially the market has changed, but the basis for our business is solid, and we believe we can do this," he says.

"It is clear that there are new low-cost brands on the market in the coming months, but the strength lies in the proton has been on the market for almost 15 years and is a plant on the farm full back - our parent company in Malaysia.

Products, pricing and marketing has been the tremendous increase in support from our parent company, to ensure that we have the tools to improve our market share in this country, "he says." The next 12 months will tell if we are on the right side - or if we are sinners. "
